Canada
The other Canada
Canada is so much more than endless forests and snow-capped peaks. Off the beaten track, a land of contrasts, grandeur, and tranquility awaits. Think of rugged coastlines where icebergs drift slowly by. Of whales surfacing in the morning mist. Of small fishing villages where you can still truly hear the silence. That's Newfoundland – unknown, unspoiled, and intensely beautiful.
Travel south to Nova Scotia, where the Bay of Fundy's tides are a global natural phenomenon. Cliffs and seabeds change every hour. The atmosphere? A touch of Scotland, but with a Canadian heart.
On the west coast, Vancouver Island beckons: an island of rainforests, surf beaches, and the elegant city of Victoria. Here, you'll feel the deep presence of Indigenous culture—evident in art, rituals, and the way of life. And in Tofino, at the very edge of the continent, you'll find rough surf, endless beaches, and a sense of absolute freedom.
And then there are the Rocky Mountains and Alberta – the beating heart of mountainous Canada. With majestic peaks, mirror lakes like Lake Louise, and the iconic Icefields Parkway: perhaps one of the most beautiful drives in the world. Here lies wild Canada, with cities like Calgary and Edmonton that sometimes evoke the rugged Texas of the north – rugged, proud, and full of character.
This is the Canada I love. Vast, wondrous, and full of stories. And I'd love to take you there.
