USA
The other America
When you think of America, you often think of New York City, the Grand Canyon, Hollywood, or the magic of Disneyland. But there's another America – and it's just as special.
Think of New York State, where outside the city you'll find rolling hills, charming old towns, and the historic Erie Canal. Or the Adirondacks, a vast mountain range full of forests, lakes, and tranquility.
I once lived in Florida myself—and not the Florida of amusement parks and palm trees. But the real Florida: Saint Augustine, the oldest European settlement in the US. Lake Okeechobee, an inland sea in itself. And of course, the mysterious swamps of the Everglades, where air, water, and silence converge.
Want to experience what it's like to hike or bike through a desert in 40-degree heat? Then visit southern Arizona. The heat is relentless, but the emptiness is impressive. And then there's Phoenix – a city of contrasts, where cactus and skyline coexist.
And finally: the heart of real America. Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee—the Deep South, the land of Dixie. I lived here for years. Here I know the hidden gems, the music, the hospitality, and the stories behind the porches.
That's the America I love. Different, authentic, and full of character. And I'd love to show you.
